About Ushindi Africa Foundation

Ushindi Africa Foundation, a non-profit organisation was founded in 2018 by Mrs Kayondo Restetuta who witnessed the struggles of disadvantaged communities and resolved to make a difference. We are dedicated to transforming lives and fostering sustainable development in underserved communities. Founded on the principles of compassion, empowerment, and resilience, we strive to create lasting change by addressing critical challenges in education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social justice.

Mission

At Ushindi (which means "Victory" in Swahili), we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Our mission is to:
Educate – Provide access to quality education for children and vocational training for adults.
Heal – Improve healthcare access through medical outreach, awareness campaigns, and infrastructure support.
Empower – Equip vulnerable groups, including women and youth, with skills and resources for self-sufficiency.
Advocate – Champion the rights of marginalized communities and promote social equality.

A world where every person—regardless of circumstance—has the power to overcome adversity and achieve lasting victory.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Mrs Kayondo Restetuta is a CEO/ founder of Ushindi Africa Foundation, a non profit organization creating pathways for enhancing and improving the health and well being of the underprivileged communities through multiple initiatives. She holds a TTC in teaching both ordinary and advanced level education in Uganda.

While in Uganda recently directed occupational safety and health extension  programs at Kibale District. In her current post, she is actively involved in initiatives related to helpless elderly, orphaned, abandoned and abused children across Uganda

Before teaching, Mrs kayondo Restetuta also worked with NGO’s as charity volunteer and donor in Uganda such as MEETING POINT in Hoima and HOSPICE OF AFRICA in Kampala. She is currently living in Northern California as a nurse where she conducts her duties as CEO/Founder of the foundation.
